The Okular Panel

The Okular toolbar is essentially the same as in KPDF: It uses vertical tabs. KPDF only had two entries in the tabs list. Okular has grown in functionality and features four entries. The major drawback of the vertical tabs, especially with as many as four entries, is screen real estate. Another major deficit is the “hopping” of the entries. They aren’t always at the same place which means having to search for them every time they are needed. The advantage of the vertical tab list is that all available functions of the panel are instantaneouly visible and can be identified by icon and label.
